As a trusted customer advocate, Solutions Architects help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and provide advice on strategies for migrating existing workloads to the cloud. You’ll help drive successful business outcomes across a broad set of enterprise customers through your passion for educating, training, designing and building cloud solutions.

You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build deep adoption and broad use of AWS within your enterprise customers, and you will do this by mobilizing resources within AWS and working with our extensive partner network.

Key job responsibilities
In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS
* As a key member of the business development and sales team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform
* Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
* Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS
* Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community
* Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers
* Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
* Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect team partners with customers to design and build some of the most scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures and solutions. AWS Solutions Architects collaborate with AWS Sales and other AWS teams to help address customer business challenges and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.

Basic qualifications
Background in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps.
Have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
A passion for technology and for learning.
Preferred qualifications
The following qualifications are desired but not required:
Experience designing, building, refactoring or operating large scale and impactful IT systems - either on premises or in the cloud.
Working knowledge of cloud native architectures.
Working knowledge of multiple technology domains, such as distributed internet-scale web or mobile applications, DevOps, Serverless, Big Data, analytics, Machine Learning, enterprise workloads (SAP, VMware, Windows etc.), high-performance databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), complex networking implementations, highly secured workloads etc.
AWS certification (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) or other industry certification.

QUALIFICATIONS DE BASE
8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
Ability to speak French
QUALIFICATIONS APPRÉCIÉES
* Broad technology experience including: cloud architecture, applications development, relational databases, NoSQL databases, analytics, machine learning, networking, security, storage, DevOps, containers, serverless, CI/CD, management and monitoring, cloud migrations, IT transformation.
* Experience architecting/designing solutions built on cloud ideal but not required (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Experience migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.
* Presentation and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and technical teams.
* Excellent communication skills with an ability to right level conversations.
* Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
* Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
* Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.
